The Road to a Lesser Dave: Day 2

Today ended the second day of my journey. Clearly, many of you are happy with the idea of a lesser me, and I think I am ok with that. The psychological effects of weight loss and my fears of the after-effects might be my biggest struggle. For one, my entire joke repertoire will be lost. Skinny guys can't make fat guy jokes, those are the rules; nobody like a poser.

More and more of you have been sending me well wishes and even more tips. I am truly grateful to all of you. I won't ever publish your true identity, that you can do yourself in the comments below (if you choose to do so). Keep sending more stories, ideas and inspiration, I hope that I am not the only one being motivated to do better and be a better me.

Good for you! also, if you're interested in diet tips/techniques, try reading the abs diet, or check it out online. very interesting, you might find some of it useful. :)

Good luck man. check out http://sparkpeople.com - I use it for nutrition tracking, but it's also a great weight loss community with lots of online tools.

Day 2 Stats
Weight: 305.7 Lbs.
Loss Actions:
Drank 68oz of water and only snacked on one breakfast bar. I joined my coworkers for lunch just to take a walk (go figure, the local Bethesda sushi ain't kosher), but didn't realize the place was only a block away. Oh well, tomorrow should bring more exercise with the availability of DC parking close to anywhere I ever need to be (read: long walk).

Here's a website you might find useful for your future outdoor exercise endeavors, as well as for keeping a daily log of your progress-

I would suggest only weighing yourself once a week. Your weight can vary from day to day b/c of water weight, needing to use the bathroom, etc. Carla and I each weigh ourselves on Monday morning, just after we get up but before we get dressed. That way we know we're getting a consistent reading.
Good luck man! I'm down to 273, from 295 last July.

@Labslave I'll definitely check out that site. Thanks!

@Patsfan630 Agreed, but I want to be able to post it everyday. This blog is a motivator for me. I love blogging. If I can only write a post once I have done something of note that day pertaining to my end goal, it gives my the extra motivation (I hope) to continue. Congrats on your success so far, pretty soon you are going to be hard to see from sideways on!
